  • Howdy, Howdy

    News you can use:

For those of you who have resolved to be more organized this year, take a look at Do It  Yourself Planners. It's all free and instructions are included.

For those of you who have resolved to save money at the grocery store: Don't forget Walgreens. Sometimes their clearance sales are way better than the grocery store. Case in point: this week they have Starbucks Winter blend coffee for 2.44, Combos for .49 (pretzel flavored - yum!), and Betty Crocker brownie mix for 1.00.
(For those of you who have resolved to eat healthier and lay off the caffeine, just ignore the above.)

I'm currently playing around with Jott. You can send an email to someone using your phone. It also sends the messages via text, but I'm not into "texting." (I hate that verb but I suppose it's here to stay.) For sending reminders and capturing things on the fly, this little application has possibilities!

Finally, just in case you ever wondered how to handle your daughter's potential suitors:
"I'm not ugly to them. I give them that firm handshake that says, 'I've been to jail and I'm not even remotely afraid to go back, so just remember that and we'll get along fine.' "  -Trace Adkins

Even better? Skype! It's free, and you can call anywhere in the world and video (if you have a web cam).  We are taking full advantage of it with friends and my mom.

Starbucks coffee on sale? Sounds great!

I like the DIY site. I have used it quite a bit.

And the Trace Adkins quote...well that is just funny!
